Hello......

I was very much clear when I wanted to post this blog what I want to write about. Before some days we all celebrated "Friendship Day". It was so enjoyable time. Hope you also enjoyed with your friends. And after some days on 15th Augast it is our "Independence Day". So I want to talk about the mentality of our new generation, including me, and the contrast between these kind of festivals.

Why when it is about Friendship Day the youth is so excited to plan to do something or propose someone and why they are not so excited about our Independence Day. When I was in school, we, students, were so excited on Friendship Day and on Independence Day we were forced to come at school to salute flag. We used to treat Independence Day as a holiday only. Do you think it is common in all the students of schools? I think so.

But at this Independence Day as well as Friendship Day, I am all excited for both. How that happened? Maybe in my schooling I was not mature enough about what this country has given me and what are my responsibilities to it. Listening to great personality about proud of being Indian and many other things, i.e. movies, affected me. Today, it feels great to be an Indian. You know, in schools we used to make fun of friends during national anthem and today it feels like we were disrespecting our country.

Today, things are changed. But I found that everyone are not changed as I changed by the time. I still see people of different age having no interest or excitement for Independence Day. Maybe thay don't know the importance of our independence. the worst thing I found in anyone is the disrespect to his/her country. Shame on them.

So, this was it I wanted to talk about. I felt so sorry for what I have done. And I proud to be an Indian as you are.

"Jai Hind"

Happy Independence Day.

AFRICA residing in India

Hello readers,

I was thinking for writing my new post and was not getting good topic. I would say, there was no topic as well as many topics. But the issue I wanted to discuss is poverty in India. In the newspaper the heading was the same as I gave to this post. Let's begin...

Poverty is the main and root evil of all evils for humanity and for a country. Economists have studied a lot for the benchmarks of poverty. Human development is basic for the development of world and that's why UNITED NATIONS publishes Human Development Index(HDI) every year. But the point is, the recent release of HDI is very shameful for India. It says, 8 states of India are worse than 26 worst states of AFRICA. 420 million people in Bihar, Chhatisgrah, Zarkhand, MP, Orrissa, Rajasthan, UP and Bengal are under poverty.

In last fiscal, India noted growth of 7.4% in GDP. My question is, while the country is making growth, why there is high percentage of poverty? government have millions of tons of food as a food security which is wasted being there and people die without food there. Are you getting me? I think so. computers are getting cheaper but food prises are raising like a rocket. What's going on?

When Swami Vivekananda after his historic trip to America, addressed the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1983 and said to youth: "You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Bhagavad Gita". Good health is the first strive for perfection. He said that Indians remained lazy because they were deprived of strength and energy. He explained our inability to work in terms of our physical weakness. He even painfully noted that the root cause of selfishness and disunity among Indians was our weakness menifested in fragile body and spirit.

Why I wrote that paragraph? Because the condition don't seem to be changed till now. If the the people are not able to get food to eat, what is the growth of 7.4% worth? and poverty is not even in low percentage. This clearly means that India is growing at 7.4% and next year it is expected to grow at 8.5%. But only the top 10% to 20% people are growing. still there are children who are suffering of malnutrition. Maoists are ultimately a result of poverty.

We are living in a country where mobile simcards are free but rice are rs.60-65 a kilo. a commercial complex is built in a year while government complex takes years. Pizza is delivered at home in 30 minutes but ambulance comes too late. However the 108 service in Gujarat is successful in its commitment. recent study told that 108 emergency service is faster than US emergency service - 911. Great achievement.

But gujarat is also not good. Recent study said that though there are not much people poor as the 8 states I have mentioned, but the slums in Gujarat are worst ever in not only India but over the world.

My sir says that he hates US. But here I love US for its government services. There may be problems also but at least their government service are far better than us. But the thing is, here I can not conclude saying I love US and India is worse. The conclusion is -What can be done about it? Government, here, should reduce the price of petrolium which will result in low food inflation. Why there no private players in selling petrol?

Many things can be done about the issue. But I have all the solutions which are subjective and blaming government. govt. should do this and govt. should do that... In this situation I am not in condition to contribute to it... but I will in one or the other way...

I think you also should...

Just Welcome.

Hello readers,

I am first time writing a blog with the only purpose to improve my english. So kindly forgive me for the mistakes I am going to make. A good writing should be conceptual as well as entertaining also. I don't know how to tell my thoughts effectively to you but "Be positive" is all I can do.

It is very hot even after a couple of rains and the recent issue is also very hot like that i.e. "Bhopal gas tragady" the very bad thing about this country is the long lasting of cases. In our country, the life of a human being is very cheap. Nothing seems serious. government have taken 10 days just to decide what to do further. imprisonment of CEO is not the remedy. A report says that the units in factory were harmful and leak was possible there. It was the fault of Engineer who designed and the government official who lisenced it.

And after 26 years the government is giving compensation. What about all they suffered during 26 years? Is the compensation 26 years ago and now have the same value of money? Is that all that the government can do. The person facing permanent disablement is given compensation for temporary disablement. The doctors did not checked the affected properly and misjudged their injury.

Compare this issue with the oil spill in GULF of Mexiko. 9 people dead and th company is having a lot of pressure from Barak Obama. The whole disaster is going to be compensated by The BP, the british oil giant.

I am not escaping by blaming government but its all we have. I know the government officials are so busy in work. Let's see what the Group of Ministers(GoM) decided.

Till then Take Care....
